About Izabela Zajdel

Hello, I’m Izabela,

founder and designer behind Utile et Beau.

My creative journey began long before the studio was founded. I graduated from a four-year art school specializing in Artistic Ceramics, where I studied drawing, painting, sculpture, and graphic design.

Since 2003, art and design have been a constant part of my life and work. After completing a Master’s degree in Business Management, I founded my studio in 2014, combining artistic craftsmanship with a thoughtful, professional approach to creating bespoke stationery.

What makes my work unique is that every design begins as an original creation. I personally illustrate custom crests, ornamental frames, monograms, and decorative elements, ensuring that each suite feels distinctive and deeply personal.
I love bringing together different styles, influences, and details into one cohesive design.

Whether inspired by timeless European elegance, romantic florals, or modern simplicity, every invitation suite is thoughtfully crafted to tell a story.

Today, I work with couples who appreciate artistry, craftsmanship, and meaningful details. Each suite is designed not only to announce a celebration, but to become a lasting keepsake — something beautiful to hold, cherish, and remember

CRAFTED WITH TRADITION

We believe beautiful stationery should be as special to touch as it is to see. Our invitations are created using carefully selected papers and traditional printing techniques, including letterpress, hot foil and embossing. Many pieces are printed and finished by hand in our European studio.

OUR STORY

Utile et Beau is an independent fine art stationery studio founded in 2014, specialising in bespoke and semi-custom wedding invitations and paper goods.

With a background in art and design, founder Izabela brings an artist’s approach to every collection — combining drawing, typography, beautiful papers and traditional craftsmanship to create stationery with a distinctly European sensibility.

At the heart of the studio is our antique 1898 Joseph Anger & Söhne letterpress, still used to create beautifully tactile impressions one piece at a time. Alongside letterpress, we work with hot foil, embossing and fine digital printing, carefully selecting each technique to complement the design.

From the first sketch to printing and hand finishing, every detail is considered with care in our studio in Poland before travelling to celebrations around the world.
